Real time volumetric system for Cask ales

It had been noted that existing cask ale volumetric systems where incredibly inaccurate, and were often out by 40% or more. This was primarily due to the way cask ale systems required cleaning between every barrel. Whilst various methods had been trialled for trying to detect this change in fluid none were particularly successful

The solution was to develop a cask coupler that had a moving magnet in it and a fixed Hall Effect sensor. This meant that when the cask coupler was disconnected the sensor turned off the flow sensor and the water/flushing stage of the cask system was no longer counted. A simple but effective method of countering this problem. The solution was patented was trialled successfully.
